This piece was composed during the lockdown because of the pandemic, while I was still living in Peru. There is something magical about being able to compose under these circumstances, since it gave me a sense of freedom in spite of not being able to go out. I tried to convey a message of hope. The power of music went even further, since its remote recording was streamed by the Gran Teatro Nacional on occasion of International Jazz Day and I was extremely moved by the reaction of the audience. Apparently we were all needing such a powerful art as music and it could make us feel so much better. It was very especial to me when I could perform this piece live for the first time in Berlin with the Ania Paz Trio.
